Family Learning
For one or more adult members of a family who have
been involved in learning as or within a family group and have progressed
their own or their children’s learning.
Learning through Partnership
For activities that can demonstrate benefits for
learners as a direct result of partnership working. Partnerships
can be local, regional, national or trans-national. It is anticipated
that the application will be made on behalf of the lead organisation
for all partners involved in the project.
Learning Champions
For a learner or a group of learners who have made
an impact in encouraging others to learn. This could involve encouraging
people at work or in the community to get involved in any type of
formal or informal learning
Lifelong Learner
For an individual over 50 who has become involved
in learning. This could involve attending a college course or distance
learning, getting qualified or becoming involved in a more informal
style of learning for leisure or pleasure.
Adult Learner of the Year
For an individual adult learner who has made real
progress in their learning in the year. This could, but need not
include achieving a qualification. It may be about distance traveled
for a new learner who has accomplished something of significance
for themselves. This could be a learner who has become involved
in learning for the first time or someone who has taken steps to
improve their numeracy or literacy or their use of the English language.
Tutor of the Year
For a tutor, trainer, teacher, coach or mentor who
has really made a difference through their enthusiasm, commitment
and dedication to help adults get the most they can out of their
learning experience
Volunteers
For an individual who has provided help and assistance
to learners or to an organisation on a voluntary basis, in order,
to promote learning.
Workplace
For an individual at work who has participated in
learning to enhance their skills and improve their contribution
to the work of their employer
