The Awards
Following the success of previous years Adult Learners’ Week awards we are once again organising the Adult Learners’ Week Local Awards for 2011. Previous year’s events have been uplifting, well received and extremely important for learners, their tutors and sponsors. This year we want the awards, again, to be a time for celebration and recognition for individual learners and for projects that have contributed to the learning agenda. Award winners and those who nominated them have been invited to attend the Award Ceremony. Each winner will receive a framed certificate and £200 learning voucher redeemable against future courses on which they enrol with a local provider. The learning vouchers have once again been sponsored by the Bedfordshire Federation for Further and Higher Education (BedsFed). The individual award categories have been sponsored by local colleges, adult and community learning and the community and voluntary sector. The Award Ceremony took place during Adult Learners’ Week, on Tuesday 17th May 2011 at Putteridge Bury Conference Centre in Luton and has been very generously sponsored by the University of Bedfordshire.
